When Christchurch Engine Centre needed facilities to support their growing team, Portacom delivered a smart modular solution that combined speed, functionality and flexibility.

Over the course of the 12-week hire, Portacom supplied a tailored modular solution including:

  • 2 x 12x3m office units
  • 2 x 12x6m lunchrooms
  • 3 x 4.8x3m units
  • 2 x waste tanks

The setup provided spacious, comfortable and compliant temporary facilities for project teams on site.

The top priorities were the rapid availability of buildings and speed of installation, with a strict 2 day delivery and setup window. Thanks to Portacom's local fleet and streamlined processes, the install was completed successfully on time. 

From contract award to site delivery, Portacom followed a structured project management approach: 

  • Buildings were checked and brought up to required codes and standards
  • COCs were updated and a site transport check completed
  • A final confirmation with the client was made prior to delivery.

The biggest challenge was ensuring fleet availability to match the client’s specific requirements. Through proactive planning and flexibility, Portacom met all requests within the deadline. The project was delivered on time, within budget and continues to operate successfully.
