The Ministry of Education faced an urgent need for additional classroom spaces at a school in Cromwell to accommodate growing student numbers. Portacom was tasked with designing, delivering, and installing permanent modular classrooms within a challenging eight-week timeframe.
The project required completion within a tight eight-week timeframe and posed logistical challenges due to its proximity to a busy sports hub and a main road. Safety concerns and minimal disruption to the school’s daily activities were paramount.
Portacom strategically scheduled all major construction and deliveries outside of school hours, enhancing safety and minimising disruption. Rigorous safety protocols were implemented, including the use of clear signage, barriers to separate construction activities from school operations, and continuous adjustments to traffic patterns. These measures ensured the safety of students, staff, and the public.
The project was successfully completed on schedule, with all classrooms ready for use by the next school term. This achievement highlighted Portacom’s expertise in managing logistically complex projects and commitment to safety, ensuring a modern, well-equipped learning environment was delivered efficiently and safely.
