The primary goal was to provide a comfortable and functional work environment, separating workspaces from the main public area to enhance productivity and privacy.

• 6.0 x 3.0 – Meeting/Hot Desk Office
• 4.8 x 4.8 – Meeting Room/Kitchen
• 6.0 x 3.0 – Locker Room with Shower
• 3.6 x 3.0 – Toilets for the outside of the existing shed area (later moved to the main new area)

The delivery and installation process was critical to the success of the project. Although we did not handle the installation directly, we worked closely with the Council and their contractors to ensure a seamless process. Here’s how it all aligned with the project timeline:

• Communication: Maintaining open lines of communication with the Council and contractors was key. This ensured everyone was on the same page and minimized potential delays.
• Flexibility: The project required storing the buildings for several days due to a slight delay on the site. Our flexibility helped keep the project on track without any significant disruptions.

The facilities were designed to meet specific requirements, ensuring they provided more space and improved facilities compared to what was previously available. Including;

• Increased Space: The new buildings offered significantly more room, creating a more comfortable work environment.
• Dedicated Locker Room: The locker room with showers was a much-needed addition, enhancing the overall utility of the workspace.
• Employee Satisfaction: Feedback from two staff members during a site visit confirmed that the size and functionality of the buildings met their expectations and needs.

This project demonstrates the effectiveness and flexibility of modular buildings in enhancing workplace environments. By providing tailored solutions and maintaining strong communication throughout the process, Portacom successfully met the client's needs, resulting in a more comfortable and productive work area.
