Portacom is proud to work with the Waitara Initiatives Supporting Employment Trust to deliver a flexible and comfortable modular working space for the hard working volunteers of New Plymouth.
The purpose of this commercial module was to give the Waitara Initiatives Supporting Employment Trust room to expand their ‘curtain bank’ - a facility where pre-loved curtains are refurbished to give them a new life providing warmth and comfort to local homes.
The delivery of this 14m long modular building addressed WISE’s need for a larger storage and working space, allowing them to receive, store, refurbish and distribute more high quality thermal curtains to households in the area, improving household energy efficiency and reducing heating costs for those in need. The integrated office and amenity spaces also provide a significant improvement in working conditions and facilities for the dedicated staff who operate the curtain bank.
By delivering this solution, Portacom has addressed WISE’s need for a larger, comfortable and flexible working space. Maintaining excellent communication and flexibility through the project delivery was a key element in the project’s success, and Portacom are proud to have provided a high quality, flexible and modular solution that supports this important initiative.
