Portacom was tasked with providing comfortable accommodation for Flight Information Officers at the Milford control tower. The key requirements were durability, insulation, and modular design to facilitate transportation through the Homer Tunnel. Despite the challenges, including obtaining building consents, remote location, and adverse weather conditions, the project was completed successfully within 14 weeks.
